Commerzbank (Nederland) n.v. Amsterdam
Reorganised the Commerzbank's Treasury department (12
people) from a mere funding unit to a strategic position taking department in
various financial markets (Portfolio management, Treasury market instruments).
The Treasury department expanded the bank's corporate business from Interbank
business, by active selling both sides of the balance sheet, whereas gross
income increased from ƒ 15.1 mm in 1983 to ƒ 26.2 mm in 1985 and ƒ 21.2 mm in
1986 by sophisticated Treasury Management Techniques in various financial
markets.
The Treasury department has become computerised, for that time, to a high
extent.
